Lately I've been feeling fatigue and apathy with disturbing frequency. This may be partly related to the chronic lack of sunlight this time of year. I've kicked the devil bean (caffeine) lately, so that's not masking my symptoms anymore. My naturopath has me on an adrenal supplement TAD+, to replenish my poor overworked adrenal glands, which have been having the shit kicked out of them by excessive caffeine use for a while now. Today I was feeling particularly yucky, dipping a bit into self-loathing and despair actually; so I finally said "fuck this!" and went out and bought some b vitamins, zinc, fish oil, and some Male Vitality tea ("Yang Herbal Tonic"). This is a much better coping mechanism than I used in similar circumstances back in the '80's, which would have been to say "fuck this!" and go out and get stoned. Anyway, I wanted to know what was in this tea, so I googled all the ingredients. The top one is something called "epimedium," and this is what I found online:
Epimedium is a genus of twenty-one related plant species. The Chinese refer to epimedium as "yin yang huo", which has been loosely translated by some as "licentious goat plant" and explains why Western supplement companies have adopted the titillating name by which it is known in the U.S: (horny goat weed).
Heeheehee, that's very funny. So I'm sitting here drinking horny goat tea. (Though I find "licentious goat plant" a much more appealing and poetic term.) According to this online article it may function as an adaptogen - cool! I love adaptogens, in fact I've recently put myself back on ginseng, which I've had some good results with in the past. So here's hoping.
One of these days I will hopefully reintegrate yoga into my Integral Transformative Practice. Since I dropped it last summer my body has been totally falling apart. The regular discipline of going to the yoga studio, and the social setting there, were very helpful.

If you start eating grass and butting people with your head it might be time to ease back on the tea my friend.
Cheers!

Heehee, thanks for the advice! So far so good - my mood and energy are much improved from earlier in the day (although I should be asleep by now dammit!), but I've hardly butted anybody with my head.
